Hasbro will release ‘Monopoly: Cheaters Edition’ this fall.
“A recent study conducted by Hasbro revealed that nearly half of game players attempt to cheat during Monopoly games,” said Jonathan Berkowitz, senior vice president of Hasbro gaming. “So in 2018, we decided it was time to give fans what they’ve been craving all along – a Monopoly game that actually encourages cheating.”
In addition to Chance and Community Chest, 15 cheat cards are added to the middle of the board. Players are tasked with carrying out tasks that would traditionally be considered cheating, such as stealing money from the bank or moving someone else’s piece, without getting caught.
As the board says: “Get caught, get cuffed!”
